Groundbreaking Ceremony Held for Inner Mongolia Ruida Juzhi’s 240,000-Ton-Per-Year Methane Chloride Project
On the morning of March 16, 2026, under a warm and sunny sky adorned with fluttering colorful banners, the groundbreaking ceremony for the 240,000-ton-per-year methane chlorides and related product project of Inner Mongolia Ruida Juzhi New Materials Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Ruida Juzhi”) was solemnly held at the Ulanbuh Industrial Park of the Alxa High-tech Industrial Development Zone.
More than 300 people attended the groundbreaking ceremony, including Liu Chongxiao, Vice Governor of the Alxa League Administrative Office; Wang Duofu, Secretary of the Party Working Committee of the Alxa High-tech Industrial Development Zone; Tian Xueming, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Director of the Management Committee of the Alxa High-tech Industrial Development Zone; Wang Jinda, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Inner Mongolia Ruida Chemical Group Co., Ltd.; Ren Siming, Shareholder and Director of Inner Mongolia Ruida Ju Zhi New Materials Co., Ltd., General Manager of Alxa High-tech Industrial Development Zone Financial Investment Co., Ltd.; leaders from relevant departments of the High-tech Zone; representatives from more than ten enterprises located in the zone; as well as customers, suppliers, key executives of various subsidiaries of Ruida Group, and selected employee representatives.
Inner Mongolia Ruida Juzhi New Materials Co., Ltd. was established in October 2025 through an investment in the Alxa High-tech Industrial Development Zone. The project involves the construction of a facility with an annual production capacity of 240,000 metric tons of chloromethanes and related product lines, with a total investment of RMB 1.525 billion and a land area of 469 mu. The company was jointly founded by Inner Mongolia Ruida Chemical Group and Alxa High-tech Industrial Development Zone Financial Investment Co., Ltd., with a registered capital of RMB 200 million. It is the fifth subsidiary of Inner Mongolia Ruida Taifeng Chemical Co., Ltd. and also the first enterprise under Inner Mongolia Ruida Chemical Group’s “private enterprise–state-owned enterprise” cooperation model.
The project for the construction of a 240,000-ton-per-year facility producing methane chlorides and related product lines, whose groundbreaking ceremony was held this time, commenced in March 2026. The first phase is scheduled to be ready for commissioning in November 2026, with accompanying new-energy projects also under development. The main products include monochloromethane, dichloromethane, trichloromethane (chloroform), and carbon tetrachloride, which are widely used as basic chemical feedstocks in industries such as organic silicon, refrigeration, foam production, solvents, pharmaceuticals, electronics, and agrochemicals. This project marks a “zero-to-one” breakthrough for locally produced goods, with 60% of the output expected to be absorbed within the Alxa High-tech Industrial Development Zone and its surrounding areas. At the same time, the park’s abundant chlorine resources will be effectively utilized, thereby ensuring the efficient utilization of the Group’s core products—potassium hydroxide and metallic sodium.
Preparatory work for the project has progressed smoothly, with online filing completed, water-related permits for soil and water conservation approved, public notice of the Phase I environmental impact assessment issued, and a construction land-use planning permit obtained—among other necessary approvals. These steps have laid a solid foundation for the project’s timely commencement. Moving forward, Ruida Juzhi will adhere strictly to the project plan, rigorously uphold quality, safety, and environmental protection standards, accelerate construction progress, and strive to complete the project early, bring it into operation promptly, and realize its benefits at an early stage.
